A former Big Bang theory star is claiming he has been let go from the series despite filming a pivotal scene for the upcoming second season.
Tara Strong, who plays Kala, played by Julie Bowen, has been in production for the past two years, filming scenes for the second season of the hit science-fiction series, which is set to premiere in March.
She said she had been on the show for three years, but was only offered a position on the upcoming season after it was completed.
“I was asked to do this last year, and I’m very happy to be on that episode, but it was very stressful,” she told EW.
“They said they had a huge episode coming up, and they wanted to get it out before we started shooting the next episode, and so I had to take that on and do the rest of the filming.”
Strong is set for her second season on the series, and her work on “The Martian” will be the last she will be involved with the show before it wraps up.
The Big bang theory star has also been rumored to be directing the upcoming third season of “The Walking Dead” series, but that has yet to be confirmed.
“If there is a third season, I’d love to do it, but I can’t tell you what that is yet,” Strong said.
“I’m just getting into it.
We’ll see.”
She added that she and her team have no regrets about her work, saying they are “just doing it to get through.”
“We don’t regret anything at all.
If it’s the right show, we will do it,” Strong continued.
“Theres nothing we can do that we wouldn’t do again.”
“I feel like I’m part of this universe that is really awesome,” she added.
“And I’m really proud of that.”
