An unexpected dark sky is one thing, but for those looking to get some extra celestial inspiration, New York’s City Observatory has released a video of what the sky will look like for the first time in its long history.
Created by Jonas TV series series, the video shows what a “night sky” look like in New England.
“This night sky is really different than what people are used to,” said David Pardo, director of the New York State Division of Astronomy and a researcher at the observatory.
“It’s very different from what they normally see.”
The video also shows how the Milky Way galaxy has been hidden in the darkness of the night sky.
“It’s kind of like if you’ve never seen a galaxy before,” Pardo said.
“But when you’re looking through binoculars, you can see it.”
In the video, you’ll see how the night skies are hidden behind a very large dark sky, making it difficult to see what’s going on.
The video is a mashup of a few of the most famous images from the series and the New England sky, including one from the late 1800s.
The sky was also featured in a feature in 2016 by Time magazine.
The show’s writer, Michael J. Sullivan, said the series, which focuses on the work of astronomers, made a strong connection to the night-time.
“We wanted to make the connection to people who are seeing the night through binocs and telescopes,” Sullivan said.
